is this the real life? is this just fantasy: aka six of crows is coming to netflix

Yes, you read that right. Six of Crows is actually gonna be on Netflix. Like, in real life. Yeah, I definitely blacked out for a second when I first read that.

So what’s actually going on?

Well, recently, it was announced that the Grisha trilogy and Six of Crows have been picked up by Netflix. Both series are gonna be turned into a single 8 episode show. I’m very curious to see how they’re gonna manage to pack both of these stories into one show, especially because of the timeline. Is it gonna be 4 episodes Grisha and 4 episodes Six of Crows? Flashbacks? Alternating? Changing it completely? Who knows at this point?

another one of these: favorite books of 2018!!

I originally wasn’t gonna make this post but then I thought, “ehh, why not?”

Be warned: most of these are books I’ve already screamed about for a year but apart from that, enjoy!

I reread SvtHSA! In celebration of the movie coming out last year, I reread this and well, it’s still as fantastic as I remember it. Simon’s and Blue’s emails to each other? That shit still has me in tears. Oh, and the movie, you ask? Let’s just say my mascara wasn’t in tact after I left the cinema. (That means I cried. Bawled. Sobbed like a little baby, if you will.)

2. The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue (Montague Siblings #1) – Mackenzi Lee

Can you believe I was actually moderately on time with reading a book for once? Yeah, me neither. This book is absolutely fucking fantastic. Monty is the most lovable idiot of all time, Percy is amazing and Felicity is literally the baddest badass to ever badass. This book made me feel seen, understood and most of all, it made me feel hopeful. Monty gets out. His life is pretty shit and he feels terrible most of the time, but he gets out. Slowly, over the course of the book, you can see his self loathing fade. Some of you may say: “But isn’t he like, this super egoistical bastard?” To that I say: I don’t think so. And while Monty doesn’t fight for his happiness at the beginning of the book, he sure as hell does so in the end. And that is fucking fantastic. And best of all, it’s queer historical fiction.
